Dana Abdel Fatah studied public policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and Sabanci University
in Istanbul.

Her research interests include the following topics:

  • critical migration and integration research
  • health care with a focus on migration and policy analysis
  • psycho-social and socio-economic integration of refugees
  • civil society participation


Since April 2018, she has been a collaborator on the SIcGA study at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin
and does research in the area of psychosocial support for young adults after suicidal crises.

Since February 2019, she is a research associate at BIM in the department of migration, mental health
and health promotion.

At the same time, she is working in the EU project FOCUS (Forced Displacement and Refugee-Host Community Solidarity) on psychosocial integration and labor market integration of Syrian refugees.
