PROFILE
Pauline Endres de Oliveira is Professor of Law and Migration.
She studied law in Berlin and Paris. After her legal clerkship, she initially worked as a lawyer specializing in migration law and as a legal expert for the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR in Berlin. Most recently, she conducted research at Justus Liebig University in an international research project on the UN migration pact and taught migration law at the University of Hildesheim.
As part of her doctorate at Justus Liebig University Giessen (under Prof. Dr. Jürgen Bast), she was a visiting researcher at the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford and at the Danish Human Rights Institute in Copenhagen. Her dissertation on safe access routes for people seeking protection in the EU was awarded the dissertation prize of the Justus Liebig University Giessen and the doctoral prize of the Juristische Studiengesellschaft Giessen e.V. (Giessen Law Society).
She is a member of the Migration Law Network and the Refugee Research Network. She has represented Humboldt-Universität on the Berlin Senate's Advisory Board for Migration since 2022.
Her professorship accompanies the training cycle and counseling activities of the Refugee Law Clinic Berlin.
